I spent my childhood in the beautiful cathedral city of Durham in North-Eastern England. Later, I attended the University of London, Goldsmiths College, studied psychology, then education, emigrated to Canada and became a high school English teacher.

I now live in Winnipeg where I studied writing under my mentor, Pulitzer Prize winning author, Carol Shields.

I love writing for all ages and in many genres—primarily contemporary and historical suspense, but I also have a love of YA sci-fi. I'm also a screenwriter with several pilot projects in progress.

I love teaching workshops in Creative Writing and the writing process, as well as connecting with readers virtually or in-person at book club appearances or literary events.
